Description
Instructions
1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if the appliance requires preheating.
2. Scrub potatoes thoroughly under water and dry completely with a towel to help the skins crisp.
3. Rub each potato evenly with oil and season all sides with salt and pepper.
4. Pierce the center of each potato once with a fork.
5. Place potatoes in the air fryer basket with space between them.
6. Cook at 400°F for about 40 minutes until the skin is crisp and the inside is tender.
7. Check doneness by inserting a knife into the center; if it slides in easily they are ready.
8. If still firm, cook an additional 5–10 minutes.
9. Remove, slice open, fluff the interior with a fork, and add desired toppings before serving.
Notes
Potatoes must be completely dry before cooking to help the skins become crispy.
Preheating the air fryer helps start cooking immediately and improves texture.
Cooking time varies depending on potato size; smaller potatoes cook faster while larger ones may need extra time.
Check doneness with a knife that should slide easily into the center.
Seasonings can be adjusted or replaced with other spices for different flavors.
