Ingredients
1 slice white sandwich bread
1 egg
3 tbsp shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp olive oil
Sesame seeds (for topping)
Syrup or honey (optional, for serving)
Instructions
1. Place a slice of white bread into the air fryer basket.
2. Press down the center with a spoon to make a shallow well.
3. Brush olive oil around the edges of the bread.
4. Crack an egg into the center well carefully.
5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the egg and edges of the bread.
6. Air fry at 175°C (350°F) for 7 minutes. Start checking at 5 minutes.
7. Remove when egg is cooked to your liking—runny or set.
8. Top with sesame seeds and a pinch of salt. Add syrup or honey if desired.
Notes
Make sure the center well is deep enough to hold the egg.
Start checking at the 5-minute mark to avoid overcooking.
Use white sandwich bread for the best shape.
Try hot sauce or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
