Description
Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes that turn crispy outside and fluffy inside. This quick 25 minute recipe uses simple spices and minimal oil for a delicious and easy side dish.
Ingredients
1½ pounds potatoes cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder or garlic granules
¾ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Optional garnish chopped parsley or cilantro
Optional dipping sauces ranch, yum yum sauce, lime crema, or guacamole
Instructions
1. Cut potatoes into roughly 1-inch chunks. Halve baby potatoes or cube larger potatoes into similar sizes.
2. Place the potatoes in a large bowl and toss with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
3. Transfer the seasoned potatoes to the air fryer basket and arrange them in a single layer.
4. Cook the potatoes at 380°F or 195°C for 10 minutes.
5. Open the basket and flip the potatoes using tongs or a spatula.
6. Continue air frying for another 10 minutes until the potatoes are tender inside and crispy and golden outside.
7. Serve the potatoes immediately while hot and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
Preheating the air fryer for about 5 minutes can improve crispiness but is optional.
If using high starch potatoes soak the cut pieces in cold water for 10 to 15 minutes then dry well before cooking.
Flip the potatoes with tongs or a spatula rather than shaking the basket so the pieces stay intact.
These potatoes pair well with dipping sauces like ranch lime crema yum yum sauce or guacamole.
Leaving the potato skins on adds extra texture and flavor.
