Description

A warm, comforting breakfast bake loaded with fluffy biscuits, savory sausage, creamy gravy, and melty cheese. Perfect for weekends, holidays, or make-ahead meal prep.


Ingredients

1 package (8 count) Pillsbury Grands Biscuits

6 eggs

1 package (2.3 oz) peppered gravy mix (makes 2 cups)

1 lb mild breakfast sausage

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or other varieties)

½ cup milk

Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

1. Grease a 9×13 baking pan and preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Cook sausage in a skillet until browned and fully cooked; drain excess grease.

3. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces and scatter them evenly in the baking dish.

4. Layer the cooked sausage over the biscuits.

5. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the sausage layer.

6. In a bowl, whisk eggs with milk, salt, and pepper. Pour over the casserole.

7. Prepare gravy according to package directions and pour evenly on top.

8. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until center is set and top is golden.

9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can prep this casserole the night before and refrigerate.

Let it come to room temp before baking or add 5–10 minutes extra cook time.

Use homemade gravy or double it for more saucy servings.
