1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped

2. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper

4. In another bowl, mix cooled butter, both sugars, vanilla, and eggs until smooth
5. Add dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir until just combined
6. Fold in chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and chopped cherries
7. Scoop large portions of dough onto baking sheets, spacing them apart

10. Let cookies rest on the tray briefly before transferring to a rack to cool
Notes
Measure flour by spooning and leveling to avoid dense cookies
Butter must be cooled before mixing to prevent spreading
If cookies spread too much, add a little extra flour
Bake slightly longer if cherries add excess moisture
Add 2 tablespoons extra flour for high altitude baking
Bring eggs to room temperature before use
