Ingredients
Scale
- 5 whole limes (thin-skinned are best)
- 6 cups cold, filtered water
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk (or more to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Optional: Lime wedges or zest for garnish
Instructions
- Wash and quarter the limes—no peeling required.
- In a blender, combine lime quarters, cold water, and sugar. Blend for about 30 seconds, just until pulpy.
- Use a fine mesh strainer to remove the pulp and peel.
- Rinse the blender. Add the strained lime water and sweetened condensed milk. Blend again until frothy.
- Pour over a glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with lime wedges or zest.
- Optional tweaks: swap sugar for honey or agave, or add mint leaves or a splash of coconut milk.
Notes
Always use a fine mesh strainer to avoid bitterness, and don’t over-blend those limes—let the fresh, frothy magic shine through.
