Description
A refreshing, creamy drink that blends lemonade and vanilla ice cream; kid-friendly and perfect for summer.
Ingredients
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups ice cold water (chill with ice cubes, then discard cubes)
6 cups vanilla ice cream (about 12 scoops)
Sliced lemons, for garnish
Instructions
1. Blend lemon juice and sugar until the sugar fully dissolves.
2. Add ice cold water to dilute and chill the mixture.
3. Add vanilla ice cream and blend until smooth.
4. Divide among 3 glasses.
5. Garnish with lemon slices and serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
Notes
Use premium or slow-churned vanilla ice cream for best texture.
For ice cold water, chill with ice cubes first, then discard ice.
Variations include using bottled lemonade, lemon concentrate, or citrus swaps like lime or orange juice.
Try frozen vanilla yogurt for a tangy twist or add alcohol for an adult version.
Best served immediately, but can be frozen and reblended later.
