Ingredients

Scale

4 cups day-old bread, cubed

4 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Topping:

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tbsp melted butter

2. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.

3. Gently fold in bread cubes. Let soak for 5 minutes.

4. Divide mixture into muffin cups. Press down lightly.

5. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and set.

6. Mix sugar and cinnamon for topping.

7. Brush baked muffins with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

8. Let cool slightly. Serve warm, optionally with maple syrup.

Notes

Use day-old bread for best texture.

You can mix in chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit.

Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months.

Reheat in oven (350°F for 10–15 min) or microwave (30 sec).

Serve with maple syrup, berries, or whipped cream.
