Description
This Comfort Crock Pot Crack Chicken is creamy, cheesy, and filled with tender slow-cooked chicken and bacon. It’s the ultimate easy comfort meal for busy families who love cozy, homey flavors.
Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
3/4 cup cooked bacon pieces
8 oz cream cheese
10.5 oz can unsalted cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1 oz dry ranch seasoning mix
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Place chicken breasts at the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker and layer with cooked bacon.
2. In a saucepan, melt cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, ranch seasoning, and most of the cheddar cheese until smooth.
3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and bacon, cover, and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours until the chicken is fully cooked.
4. Shred the chicken and serve with the sauce over rice, pasta, or potatoes.
Notes
Chicken thighs can be used for a more tender result.
Substitute bacon with turkey bacon or cooked sausage for variation.
Homemade ranch seasoning can be made using dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley.
Freshly shredded cheese melts better than pre-shredded.
Let cream cheese soften before melting to avoid lumps.
Avoid overcooking to prevent dry, stringy chicken.
