Description
Creamy Ranch Chicken is a comforting one-skillet dinner made with juicy seared chicken in a zesty, creamy sauce. Perfect for busy nights and pairs well with potatoes or pasta.
Ingredients
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp melted butter
1–2 tbsp olive oil
10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
1½ cups milk
1 cup sour cream (room temp)
½ tsp onion powder
1 oz packet Ranch seasoning mix
Instructions
1. Slice each chicken breast into 2–3 thinner pieces (~½ inch thick) and tenderize if needed.
2. Season both sides with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Brush one side with melted butter.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove from skillet.
4. In same skillet, add cream of chicken soup, milk, sour cream, Ranch mix, and onion powder. Stir and bubble for 5 minutes.
5. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over top, cover partially and simmer 10 minutes.
6. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice with sauce spooned on top.
Notes
Use Ranch seasoning mix, not dip mix, for best flavor.
Add cooked bacon, frozen veggies, or sautéed mushrooms for variation.
Also great with pork chops or shrimp.
Leftovers store well and reheat beautifully.
