Description

Crispy on the outside, soft inside, and full of cinnamon sugar—these air fryer churro bites are a quick, sweet treat you can make at home with no deep frying.

Ingredients

**Dough:**

– 1 cup plain flour

– 1 cup water

– 1/3 cup and 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 2 tablespoons sugar

– 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

– 1 large egg

**Coating:**

– 1 cup white sugar

– 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder

Instructions

1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

2. Lower heat and stir in flour gradually until dough forms. Remove from heat.

3. Transfer dough to a bowl and let cool for 4–5 minutes.

4. Add egg and vanilla essence. Mix with electric hand mixer until smooth.

5. Spoon dough into a piping bag. Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Spray basket with nonstick spray.

6. Pipe or drop dough into small bites in air fryer basket without overcrowding.

7. Lightly brush tops with melted butter.

8. Air fry for 10–12 minutes until golden brown. Cook in batches if needed.

9. In a bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon. Toss warm churro bites in mixture.

10. Serve warm with optional dips like chocolate sauce, Nutella, or dulce de leche.

Notes

– Use all-purpose flour for best results.

– Let the dough cool before adding egg to prevent scrambling.

– Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.

– Toss churros in cinnamon sugar while they’re still warm.

– Try dip pairings like Mexican hot chocolate, vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream.

– Dough can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
