Ingredients
400 g canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
½ tbsp olive oil
½ tsp ground cumin
½ tsp smoked paprika
¼ tsp garlic powder
Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then dry them very well using a clean kitchen towel.
3. Place chickpeas in a bowl and toss with olive oil until lightly coated.
4. Add cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper, then mix well.
5. Spread chickpeas in a single layer on the baking sheet.
6. Bake for 30–40 minutes, shaking the tray every 10 minutes for even browning.
7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly so they firm up and become extra crisp.
