Description
This Crock Pot Ground Turkey Pot Pie is creamy, cozy, and easy. Slow-cooked turkey and vegetables are topped with golden crescent rolls for a hearty dinner perfect for busy nights.
Ingredients
2.5 cups ground turkey
2.5 cups mixed vegetables
2.75 cups gravy
1/4 cup cream
1 teaspoon seasoning
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 can crescent rolls
Instructions
1. Cook the ground turkey in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat and transfer the turkey to a slow cooker.
2. Add mixed vegetables, gravy, cream, seasoning, and black pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
3. Cover and cook on high for 2–3 hours or on low for 4–6 hours, until hot and bubbling.
4. Transfer the filling to a 9×13-inch baking dish. Unroll and stretch the crescent dough over the top to cover most of the surface. Press gently at the edges.
5. Bake at 375°F for 9–11 minutes until the top is golden and cooked through.
6. Let sit briefly before serving.
Notes
Always brown the turkey before slow cooking for better flavor.
If the filling is too thin, remove the lid and let it reduce slightly.
Cool the filling slightly before adding the dough to prevent a soggy bottom.
Let the baked pot pie rest for a few minutes before cutting to help the filling set.
