Description
Crispy, naturally sweet, and lightly spiced with cinnamon, these air fryer banana chips are a quick and healthier snack made with just four ingredients.
Ingredients
2 firm bananas
1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. Peel bananas and slice into even ⅛-inch rounds using a mandoline or sharp knife.
2. Toss slices gently in melted coconut oil to coat both sides.
3. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
4. Lay banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket (avoid overlapping).
5. Lightly sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over slices.
6. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Watch to prevent burning.
7. Let chips cool on wire rack or plate; they crisp up more as they cool.
8. Serve immediately or store in airtight container for later.
Notes
Use bananas that are just ripe—too soft and they won’t crisp.
Don’t crowd the basket. Cook in batches if needed.
Skip the cinnamon sugar for a cleaner snack, or try nutmeg or pumpkin spice.
To make chips crispier, air fry 2–3 extra minutes at 325°F.
