- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Peel, core, and slice peaches, then toss with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and optional cornstarch.
- Pour peach mixture into the prepared dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Stir in melted butter and vanilla extract until dough forms.
- Drop spoonfuls of topping over peaches. Spread gently.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool 15–20 minutes. Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Use ripe but firm peaches for the best flavor. You can substitute with frozen or canned if needed, and add a splash of almond extract or some chopped nuts for a flavor boost.
