Ingredients
1 package (12 oz) chicken dumplings
4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups fresh spinach or bok choy
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Assemble all ingredients before cooking.
2. Heat a bit of oil in a large pot over medium heat; sauté garlic and ginger for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
4. Add chicken dumplings and cook 6–8 minutes until tender and fully heated through.
5. Stir in spinach or bok choy and soy sauce; simmer another 2–3 minutes until greens are wilted.
6. Drizzle sesame oil over soup, garnish with green onions, and serve hot.
Notes
Don’t overcrowd dumplings while cooking.
Homemade broth gives a richer, deeper flavor.
Taste and adjust soy sauce to preference.
Use vegetable broth and plant-based dumplings for a vegetarian option.
Frozen dumplings work well; just add 2–3 minutes to the cook time.
