Ingredients
¾ cup granulated sugar
½ cup milk
½ cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups fresh strawberries, diced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for coating strawberries)
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
½ cup diced strawberries (for glaze)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan
2. Mix sugar, milk, oil, egg, and vanilla until smooth
3. Add baking powder and salt, then gradually mix in flour until just combined
4. Coat diced strawberries lightly with flour and gently fold into batter
5. Pour batter into prepared pan
6. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
7. Cool in pan briefly, then transfer to a rack to cool completely
8. Mix powdered sugar, melted butter, strawberries, and vanilla for glaze
9. Adjust glaze with milk if needed
10. Pour glaze over cooled bread and let set before slicing
