Description
Fresh Strawberry Mousse is a light and creamy no bake dessert made with fresh strawberries, sugar, and whipped cream.
Ingredients
12½ ounces fresh strawberries, cleaned and sliced
½ cup granulated sugar
1 cup cold heavy cream or whipping cream with at least 30% fat
Extra fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions
1. Blend strawberries with sugar until smooth
2. Reserve ½ cup puree for layering
3. Whip cold cream until stiff peaks form
4. Fold remaining strawberry puree into whipped cream
5. Add reserved puree to bottom of serving glasses
6. Divide mousse mixture into glasses
7. Chill for 1 hour
8. Top with fresh strawberries before serving
Notes
Use ripe strawberries for best flavor
Chill the bowl before whipping cream
Fold gently to keep mousse light
Gelatin can stabilize the mousse for cakes
