Description

Warm, creamy, and rich—this Homemade Eggnog brings classic Christmas comfort in minutes. Blended for a perfectly smooth texture, it’s a festive favorite for cozy nights or cheerful gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

4 large eggs

½ cup maple syrup

1½ cups milk (dairy or dairy-free)

1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream

⅓ cup brandy or bourbon

⅓ cup rum

1 teaspoon nutmeg

Ground cinnamon or cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions

1. Blend eggs and maple syrup in a high-speed blender for exactly 4 minutes to safely temper the eggs (160°F).

2. Add milk, cream, alcohol, and nutmeg. Blend for 10 seconds to combine without overheating.

3. Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until cold.

4. Stir before serving and garnish with cinnamon or a cinnamon stick.

Notes

Blending longer than 4 minutes can curdle the eggs. Stick to 4 minutes for safe tempering.

Use pasteurized eggs if blending only 2–3 minutes.

Coconut cream makes a great non-dairy substitute.

Budget-friendly alcohol works fine since the drink is rich and sweet.
