Description

A cozy and aromatic drink made with vanilla, cinnamon, milk, and optional tea. Perfect served hot or iced for a soothing moment any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup water

1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

1 cinnamon stick or 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 vanilla bean (split and scraped) or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon loose-leaf black tea or 1 black tea bag (optional)

Sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, etc.), to taste

1 star anise (optional)

Instructions

1. Boil 1 cup of water in a small pot.

2. Add cinnamon stick and vanilla bean (or ground cinnamon and vanilla extract).

3. If using star anise, add it now and simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Strain the liquid into a cup.

5. Add the tea bag or loose tea and brew for 3–5 minutes, then remove.

6. Warm the milk separately without boiling.

7. Pour the milk into the brewed tea and stir in sweetener.

8. Garnish with cinnamon or star anise before serving.

9. For iced version, cool tea and pour over ice with extra milk if desired.

Notes

Use high-quality vanilla and cinnamon for best flavor.

Sweetener and milk type are fully customizable.

The recipe works both hot and iced.

For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and vegan sweeteners.

Add spices like cardamom, nutmeg, or cloves for variation.

Top with whipped cream or frothed milk for a richer taste.
