Description
Honey Garlic Butter Shrimp is the ultimate 15-minute dinner—sweet, garlicky, buttery, and packed with flavor. It’s perfect for busy weeknights or last-minute guests.
Ingredients
1 lb extra large shrimp, peeled and deveined (21–30 count)
1/4 cup minced fresh garlic (about 1 medium head)
1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
6 Tbsp unsalted butter, diced
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp minced fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
2. In a bowl, toss shrimp with flour, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil and butter in a 12-inch non-stick skillet.
4. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds (do not brown).
5. Add shrimp in a single layer; cook for about 2 minutes per side until pink.
6. Pour in honey garlic butter sauce and toss to coat.
7. Let sauce bubble slightly to thicken, then finish with lemon juice.
8. Garnish with parsley, if using, and serve immediately with pan sauce.
Notes
Be sure not to brown the garlic—it can turn bitter.
Pat the shrimp dry thoroughly so the seasoning sticks well.
Avoid overcooking—shrimp cook fast and can become rubbery.
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
