Ingredients

- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup red, white, and blue M&M’s
- ¼ cup patriotic sprinkles
- Optional: red and blue gel food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Gradually add flour mix. Stir in M&M’s and sprinkles.
- For swirls, divide dough and color. Gently fold together.
- Scoop dough, bake for 10–12 minutes. Cool before serving.
Notes
Use gel coloring for vibrant swirls. For a lighter version, swap half the butter with applesauce. Press extra M&M’s on top for presentation.
