Ingredients
2 large peaches, peeled and chopped
1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup milk (whole or half & half)
1/4 cup canola oil
2 large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or two small pans.
2. In a large bowl, mix sugar, milk, oil, and eggs.
3. Stir in flour, salt, and baking powder (batter will be thick).
4. Fold in peaches and pecans.
5. Spoon batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
6. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
7. Let cool in pan for 20 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
8. Whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled bread.
Notes
Use ripe, fragrant peaches for best flavor.
Canned or frozen peaches can be used—drain or pat dry first.
Toasting the pecans enhances their flavor.
This bread freezes well in slices—wrap individually for easy grab-and-go.
