Description

A crisp, fizzy, and naturally sweet drink made with fresh green apple juice, lime, and sparkling water. Ready in 10 minutes, with no added sugar.


Ingredients

Scale

1.5 cups fresh green apple juice (35 apples depending on juicer)

2.5 cups additive-free sparkling spring water

2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice

1 dash spirulina powder (optional)

Lime or apple slices for garnish (optional)


Instructions

1. Chop apples and juice them (3–5 apples for bladed juicer, 2–3 for slow juicer). For blender: chop apples, blend with up to ½ cup water, strain through nut milk bag or sieve.

2. Immediately mix apple juice with lime juice to prevent oxidation.

3. Stir in spirulina powder (optional) using whisk or blend briefly.

4. Add sparkling water; adjust to taste (more for milder flavor, less for stronger).

5. Serve in glasses, garnish with lime/apple slices (coat apple slices with lime/lemon juice to prevent browning).

Notes

Best served fresh; color fades after 4–6 hours due to oxidation.

Stores 1–2 days refrigerated in airtight container.

Substitutions: filtered still water for non-fizzy version, ginger bug soda/kombucha/water kefir for probiotic-rich version, lemon juice instead of lime.

Use organic apples for best nutrition and no peeling.

Add honey or maple syrup if a sweeter drink is desired.
