Description

Spicy Ricotta Dip with Hot Honey is creamy, lightly tangy, and perfectly sweet with a gentle kick of heat. This easy no cook appetizer comes together in minutes and works beautifully for dinner gatherings, snack boards, or casual hosting.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups whole milk ricotta cheese

Zest of 1/2 lemon

Juice of 1/2 lemon

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

1/4 teaspoon salt

Pinch of black pepper

1/4 cup honey

1 teaspoon hot sauce

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 cup toasted walnuts, chopped

1 to 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped

Instructions

1. Bring the ricotta to room temperature.

2. Blend ricotta, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a food processor until completely smooth and creamy.

3. Spread the whipped ricotta into a shallow serving bowl.

4. Stir together the honey, hot sauce, and crushed red pepper flakes in a small bowl until well combined.

5. Drizzle the hot honey mixture evenly over the ricotta.

6. Top with toasted walnuts and fresh rosemary.

7. Let sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes for best texture and flavor.

8. Serve with crackers, crostini, toasted bread, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Use high quality whole milk ricotta for the creamiest texture and drain excess liquid if needed.

Lightly toast walnuts before chopping to enhance their flavor.

Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the hot sauce or red pepper flakes.

The ricotta base and hot honey can be prepared up to 2 days in advance and stored separately.

Bring all components to room temperature before assembling and serving.
