Description

Strawberry Fruit Roll-Ups are a naturally sweet homemade snack made with fresh strawberries, honey, and lemon juice. These soft, chewy fruit leathers contain no artificial colors or preservatives and make the perfect healthy lunchbox treat or light dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

3 cups strawberries, fresh or thawed if frozen

3 tablespoons honey or preferred liquid sweetener

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to its lowest setting, about 140 to 170 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

3. Blend strawberries, honey, and lemon juice until completely smooth.

4. Pour puree onto prepared baking sheet and spread into a thin, even layer about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.

5. Bake for 4 to 6 hours until the center feels dry and no longer sticky.

6. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

7. Carefully peel fruit leather off parchment paper.

8. Trim edges if needed and cut into 1 inch strips.

9. Roll strips up or store flat in an airtight container.

Notes

Lemon juice enhances flavor and helps maintain bright red color.

If edges become too dry, lightly rub with a small amount of water to soften.

Honey may be substituted with maple syrup or another liquid sweetener.

Bake time may vary depending on oven temperature and thickness.

Fruit leather should be pliable but not sticky when finished.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks with a paper towel to absorb moisture.
