Ingredients
3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup shredded Jack cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
½ cup sour cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped green onions and paprika for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Coat chicken breasts in olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
3. In a hot skillet, sear the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
4. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
5. Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer, scraping the bottom of the pan.
6. Stir in sour cream and cook for about 5 minutes until blended and bubbling.
7. Top each chicken breast with shredded Jack cheese, then transfer skillet to oven.
8. Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.
9. Garnish with green onions and paprika before serving.
Notes
Check internal chicken temperature to ensure it reaches 165°F.
Let chicken rest a few minutes before slicing to retain juices.
Substitute Jack cheese with cheddar or pepper jack for variation.
