1/2 cup butter, slightly softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s
7 regular Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cream butter and sugars until smooth and fluffy.
3. Add vanilla and egg; mix until combined.
4. Stir in flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt just until blended.
5. Fold in Valentine’s Day M&M’s and chopped Oreo pieces.
6. Scoop 10 large cookie dough balls (about 1/4 cup each) onto the baking sheet.
7. Bake for 13 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers look soft.
8. Remove from oven and cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
9. Shape warm cookies with a round cutter for perfect edges if desired.
Notes
Use only regular Oreos, not Double Stuf, to prevent spreading.
For softer cookies, underbake slightly.
To make ice cream sandwiches, cool cookies completely and fill with ice cream.
Store in airtight container at room temperature up to 5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
