Description

Sweet and salty 4th of July Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods dipped in red, white, and blue candy melts, drizzled with contrasting colors, and topped with patriotic star sprinkles.

Ingredients

Scale

24 pretzel rods

4 ounces red candy melts

4 ounces royal blue candy melts

4 ounces white candy melts

Red, white, and blue star sprinkles

Instructions

1. Melt each candy color separately in tall microwave-safe glasses, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.

2. Dip 8 pretzel rods into each candy color, letting the excess drip off before placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

3. Drizzle contrasting candy colors over the coated pretzels using a fork.

4. Add star sprinkles immediately before the coating sets.

5. Let the pretzel rods harden at room temperature for about 1 hour or chill in the refrigerator for around 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use tall glasses for easier dipping and less mess.

Stir candy melts frequently while heating to avoid burning.

Pretzel rods should be completely dry before dipping for better coating adhesion.

Decorate while the coating is still wet so sprinkles stick properly.

Allow the coating to fully set before storing or packaging.

Different candy colors and sprinkle styles can be used for other holidays or themes.

Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate for up to 1 week.

Freezing: Wrap individually or store in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.

Serving ideas: Great for party platters, dessert tables, edible gifts, or crushed over ice cream.
