Description

Festive 4th of July Fruit & Jello Cups made with strawberry Jello, berry blue Jello, Cool Whip, and fresh berries. A refreshing no-bake dessert for summer parties, BBQs, and patriotic celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale

1 box strawberry Jello, 3 oz

1 box berry blue Jello, 3 oz

2 cups boiling water

2 cups cold water

Cool Whip

Blueberries

Strawberries, chopped


Instructions

1. In separate bowls, dissolve each Jello flavor with 1 cup boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.

2. Mix in 1 cup cold water for each flavor.

3. Pour the prepared Jello into serving glasses, filling them about halfway.

4. Add chopped strawberries to the strawberry Jello and blueberries to the blue Jello if desired.

5. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.

6. Before serving, pipe or spoon Cool Whip on top.

7. Garnish with fresh strawberries or blueberries and serve cold.

Notes

One 3 oz box of Jello makes about 4 to 5 cups depending on layer thickness and glass size.

The recipe can easily be doubled.

For an adult version, replace the cold water with vodka.

The cups can be prepared a day ahead and covered after setting.

Best served cold.

Can be assembled shortly before serving.

Uses only 6 ingredients.

Texture is soft and creamy with fruity toppings.
