Description
This 4th Of July Fudge Recipe is rich, creamy, colorful, and easy to make with white chocolate, frosting, candy melts, blue coloring, and patriotic sprinkles.
Ingredients
2 cups white chocolate chips
32 ounces white frosting, 2 containers
1 cup red candy melts
1/2 teaspoon blue oil-based food coloring
Patriotic red, white, and blue sprinkles
Instructions
1. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or grease lightly with nonstick spray.
2. Melt half of the white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring until smooth.
3. Heat one container of frosting for 1 minute, then mix about two-thirds of it into the melted white chocolate to create the white layer.
4. Melt the remaining white chocolate chips the same way.
5. Stir in blue oil-based food coloring until evenly tinted.
6. Heat the second frosting container for 1 minute and mix about two-thirds into the blue chocolate mixture.
7. Melt the red candy melts in a separate bowl using short microwave intervals.
8. Stir in the remaining frosting until smooth.
9. Pour the red, white, and blue mixtures into the prepared pan in alternating batches to create a marbled effect.
10. Gently tap the pan on the counter to level the fudge.
11. Add patriotic sprinkles on top.
12. Let the fudge rest about 8 hours, or until firm, then slice into squares.
Notes
Do not overmix or swirl the colors after pouring, or the colors may blend into purple.
If the fudge thickens too much while assembling, microwave briefly for about 15 seconds and stir again.
Blue candy melts can replace the white chocolate and blue coloring.
Red food coloring can be used instead of red candy melts if needed.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Freeze for up to 3 months.
Recommended serving size is 1 to 2 inch squares due to the richness.
