Description
This Avocado Strawberry Mango Salsa is fresh, colorful, and ready in just 15 minutes. Sweet strawberries, juicy mango, creamy avocado, fresh cilantro, and lime come together in a refreshing salsa that works perfectly as a dip or as a topping for grilled chicken, seafood, tacos, salads, and grain bowls.
Ingredients
1 cup diced strawberries (slightly more than 1/2 pound strawberries)
1 cup diced ripe mango (from 2 large mangoes)
1 avocado, diced
1 jalapeño, seeded and finely diced
2 tablespoons finely diced red onion
2 to 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Juice of 1 small lime
1/4 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
Multigrain pita chips, for serving (optional)
Instructions
1. Combine the strawberries, mango, avocado, jalapeño, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt in a medium bowl.
2. Gently toss until evenly mixed without mashing the avocado.
3. Taste and adjust the salt if needed.
4. Garnish with extra cilantro if desired.
5. Serve immediately with pita chips or use as a topping for grilled chicken, salmon, shrimp, fish tacos, or salads.
Notes
Use ripe but slightly firm fruit for the best texture.
Cut all ingredients into evenly sized small pieces.
Finely dice the jalapeño and red onion so they do not overpower the salsa.
Lime juice helps slow the avocado from browning.
Omit the jalapeño for a mild salsa.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, although the salsa is best enjoyed the day it is made.
