Description
Berry Caprese Salad is a fresh no cook 4th of July dish made with sweet berries creamy mozzarella and a tangy balsamic glaze. It comes together in just 10 minutes and works perfectly for picnics barbecues and summer gatherings.
Ingredients
2 cups strawberries hulled and halved
1 cup blueberries
1 cup blackberries
1 cup raspberries
8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls
1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
Balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions
1. Hull and halve the strawberries then rinse and dry all berries
2. Add strawberries blueberries blackberries and raspberries to a large bowl
3. Add mozzarella balls to the bowl
4. Sprinkle chopped basil over the mixture
5. Drizzle olive oil over everything
6. Gently toss to combine without crushing the berries
7. Drizzle balsamic glaze on top just before serving
8. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor
Notes
Best served fresh the same day for best flavor and texture
Do not use frozen berries as they release too much moisture
You can cut larger mozzarella into bite sized pieces if needed
Add balsamic glaze just before serving to keep the salad fresh
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 1 day but berries may soften
