Description

Cheesy Ranch Potatoes and Smoked Sausage are a one-pan comfort dinner packed with crispy potatoes, smoky sausage, melted cheddar, and tangy ranch flavor. It’s easy, hearty, and perfect for busy nights or family meals.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound smoked sausage (halal-certified, no pork)

4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 packet ranch seasoning mix (halal-certified)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese blend)

1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for serving)

Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Wash and cut potatoes into halves or quarters.

3. Slice sausage into 1/4-inch thick rounds.

4. In a bowl, mix ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

5. Toss potatoes with olive oil and half the seasoning mix.

6. Spread seasoned potatoes on a greased or lined baking sheet in a single layer.

7. Add sausage slices evenly over the potatoes.

8. Bake for 35–40 minutes, stirring halfway through.

9. Remove from oven, sprinkle cheese on top, and return to oven for 5 minutes until cheese melts.

10. Serve hot with sour cream and parsley, if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, cut potatoes smaller and roast at a higher temperature.

Add red pepper flakes or cayenne for spice.

Customize with bell peppers, onions, or zucchini.

Use dairy-free cheese and skip sour cream for a dairy-free version.

Store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze for 3 months.
