Notes
Use ripe, fresh fruit for the best flavor and texture.
Avoid frozen fruit because it releases extra liquid and can make the salad watery.
Dry the fruit well after washing to prevent excess moisture.
Add bananas, apples, and raspberries only when serving immediately because they brown or soften quickly.
For outdoor events, place the serving bowl over ice or use a chilled serving dish.
You can replace the listed fruits with other ripe seasonal fruits.
Prepare the fruit up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate it without the dressing.
Add the dressing within about 4 hours of serving for the best texture.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
Blend very soft leftovers into smoothies.
