Description

A fresh Classic Fruit Salad with strawberries, pineapple, grapes, blueberries, kiwi, mandarins, mangoes, and honey lime dressing.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1/2 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cubed, about 2 1/2 cups

2 cups seedless grapes

2 cups blueberries

4 kiwis, peeled and sliced

3 mandarin oranges, peeled and segmented

2 mangoes, peeled and diced

1 teaspoon lime zest

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

1. Wash and thoroughly dry all fruit.

2. Peel and cut the pineapple, mangoes, kiwis, and oranges into bite-sized pieces.

3. Slice the strawberries and combine all prepared fruit in a large bowl.

4. In a separate small bowl, whisk together lime zest, lime juice, and honey until smooth.

5. Pour the dressing over the fruit and gently toss until evenly coated.

6. Serve immediately or chilled.

Notes

Bananas, apples, and raspberries are not ideal for advance prep because they brown or become mushy quickly.

Avoid frozen fruit since it releases excess liquid and softens the salad.

Use fully ripe fruit for the best sweetness and texture.

Dry fruit well after washing to prevent excess moisture.

For outdoor serving, keep the bowl chilled over ice to maintain freshness.

Can be prepared up to 4 hours ahead with dressing added before serving.

Prepared fruit can be refrigerated separately for up to 24 hours before mixing.

Leftovers keep in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
