Description
A sweet, colorful cotton candy margarita made with tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, vanilla cream soda, and pink cotton candy. Perfect for parties and festive celebrations.
Ingredients
1 cup white tequila
3/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1 can (8 oz) vanilla cream soda
1/3 cup orange liqueur
1 package pink cotton candy
Sugar, for rimming glasses
Lime juice, for rimming glasses
Ice, optional for serving
Extra cotton candy, optional garnish
Lemon or lime wheels, optional garnish
Instructions
1. Combine tequila, lime juice, vanilla cream soda, and orange liqueur in a large pitcher.
2. Add about 1 cup of pink cotton candy to the pitcher and stir until it dissolves.
3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
4. Dip the rims of 4 glasses in lime juice, then coat them with sugar.
5. Stir the chilled margarita mixture again before serving.
6. Fill each glass about three-quarters full with the drink mixture.
7. Add about 1/2 cup cotton candy to each glass and stir gently.
8. Serve over ice if desired and garnish with extra cotton candy and a lemon or lime wheel.
Notes
Fresh lime juice gives the best flavor.
Use clear cream soda if substituting for vanilla cream soda.
The soda may fizz if shaken, so stir gently.
Add cotton candy close to serving time because it dissolves quickly.
Serve well chilled for the best taste and presentation.
