Description
A light and creamy Fluffy Strawberry Mousse made with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. This easy make-ahead dessert is perfect for spring and summer!
Ingredients
3/4 pound fresh strawberries
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup cold heavy cream or whole cream
Additional fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions
1. Wash, hull, and blend the strawberries with sugar until smooth to make a puree.
2. Set aside 1/2 cup of the puree for layering.
3. Whip the cold cream in a chilled bowl until stiff peaks form.
4. Fold the remaining strawberry puree gently into the whipped cream to keep it light.
5. Spoon the reserved puree into serving glasses, then add the mousse on top.
6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until set.
7. Garnish with fresh strawberry slices just before serving.
Notes
Use ripe, firm strawberries for best flavor and texture.
Do not over-whip the cream to avoid a grainy result.
Fold the puree gently to maintain fluffiness.
Add garnish only when ready to serve for freshness.
