Description

This Frozen Bomb Pop Cocktail is a layered red, white, and blue frozen tequila drink with citrusy margarita flavor, sweet grenadine, orange notes, and a fun Bomb Pop garnish. It makes 4 festive servings and comes together in about 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 oz simple syrup

1 1/2 oz grenadine

1 1/2 oz blue curaçao

6 oz tequila, divided

1 oz triple sec

3 oz fresh lime juice, divided

9 cups ice, divided

4 Bomb Pop popsicles, optional for garnish

Instructions

1. Chill tall glasses in the freezer for a few minutes before starting.

2. Blend 3 cups ice, blue curaçao, 2 oz tequila, and 1 oz lime juice just until smooth and slushy. Do not over blend.

3. Divide the blue layer between 4 glasses, filling each about one third full. Return glasses to the freezer.

4. Rinse the blender with cold water.

5. Blend 3 cups ice, 2 oz tequila, triple sec, 1 oz lime juice, and simple syrup until slushy.

6. Carefully spoon the white layer over the blue layer. Freeze again briefly.

7. Rinse the blender again with cold water.

8. Blend 3 cups ice, remaining 2 oz tequila, remaining 1 oz lime juice, and grenadine until slushy.

9. Spoon the red layer over the white layer.

10. Garnish each glass with a Bomb Pop popsicle, if using, and serve immediately.

Notes

Work quickly while blending to prevent the ice from melting and losing the slushy texture.

Rinse the blender with cold water between each layer to keep the colors clean and the mixtures chilled.

Freezing the glasses between steps helps maintain distinct layers.

Avoid overfilling each layer so the red, white, and blue separation stays neat.

Any tall glass works if Collins glasses are unavailable.

Best served immediately before melting.
