Description

Grilled Peaches with Cinnamon and Brown Sugar are warm, juicy, and caramelized in just 10 minutes. Fresh peaches get brushed with butter, sprinkled with cinnamon brown sugar, then grilled until tender and glossy. Serve them with yogurt, vanilla ice cream, or caramel syrup for a simple summer breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar

1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon

3 ripe peaches, halved and pits removed

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

Optional toppings: yogurt, vanilla ice cream, caramel syrup, whipped cream, salted caramel sauce, extra cinnamon sugar

Instructions

1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.

2. Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.

3. Brush the cut sides of the peaches with melted butter.

4. Place peaches cut side down on the grill.

5. Grill for about 3 minutes until lightly softened with grill marks.

6. Turn the peaches over carefully.

7. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the peaches.

8. Continue grilling for 2 to 3 minutes until the sugar melts and caramelizes.

9. Serve warm with yogurt, vanilla ice cream, caramel syrup, or desired toppings.

Notes

Brown sugar gives a deeper caramel flavor and sticks better than regular sugar.

Fresh peaches work best. Frozen peaches are not recommended.

Keep the peach skins on for grilling.

Choose peaches that are ripe but still slightly firm for the best texture.

Peaches should soften slightly during grilling but should not become mushy.

Grill time may vary depending on peach ripeness and variety.

Use non dairy butter for a dairy free version.

A grill pan can replace an outdoor grill.

Prepared peaches can be enjoyed chilled on yogurt, oatmeal, or salads.

Try nutmeg, cloves, or other spice blends for flavor variations.
