Description
Homemade Strawberry Pink Lemonade is a sweet, fruity, and tangy summer drink made with fresh strawberries, lemon juice, simple syrup, and cold water. Serve it chilled for the best refreshing flavor.
Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups water
1 lb strawberries, hulled
1 cup fresh lemon juice, from about 4 lemons
5 to 6 cups cold water
Instructions
1. Heat 2 cups water and the sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat until the mixture reaches a boil and the sugar dissolves.
2. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly.
3. Juice the lemons and pour the juice into a large pitcher.
4. Blend the strawberries until smooth, then strain if you want a smoother drink.
5. Add the strawberry puree to the lemon juice.
6. Stir in the simple syrup and 5 to 6 cups cold water.
7. Mix well and refrigerate until chilled before serving.
Notes
Straining the blended strawberries is optional and helps create a smoother lemonade by removing the seeds.
Chill the lemonade before serving for the best flavor and refreshment.
