Ingredients

1 large egg at room temperature
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
2 to 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon lavender extract (optional)
3 to 4 drops purple food coloring (optional)
Extra lavender buds and lemon zest for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper
2. Mix flour, cornstarch, and baking powder in a bowl and set aside
3. Beat butter, sugar, lemon zest, and lavender until light and fluffy
4. Add egg and mix until fully incorporated
5. Gradually combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a soft dough forms
6. Scoop dough and place on prepared baking sheets with spacing
7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft
8. Cool cookies briefly, then transfer to a rack to cool completely
9. Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar with lemon juice, then add lavender extract and coloring if using
10. Drizzle glaze over cooled cookies and garnish if desired
