Fun, festive No Bake Fireworks Oreo Cheesecake Bars with a crunchy Golden Oreo crust, creamy cheesecake filling, chopped Oreos, colorful toppings, and an optional popping candy surprise.
Ingredients
25 Golden Oreo cookies, crushed
6 tablespoons melted butter
Red gel food coloring, optional
32 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 ounces whipped topping, such as Cool Whip
16 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped, Fireworks Oreos preferred
1 package pop rocks, optional
Additional chopped cookies for topping
Red, white, and blue sprinkles or candies
Instructions
1. Finely crush the Golden Oreo cookies using a food processor or by hand.
2. Mix the crushed cookies with melted butter and optional red gel food coloring until evenly combined.
3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a prepared pan to form the crust.
4. Chill the crust until set. You can freeze it briefly to speed this up.
5. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
6. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then mix until fully incorporated.
7. Gently fold in whipped topping, chopped Oreos, and optional pop rocks.
8. Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over the chilled crust.
9. Cover and refrigerate for about 4 hours 30 minutes, or until firm.
10. Top with extra chopped cookies, sprinkles, candies, or more pop rocks before slicing and serving chilled.
Notes
If Fireworks Oreos are unavailable, use regular Oreos and mix in pop rocks for a similar popping effect.
Chilling is essential, so do not shorten the refrigeration time.
A light coating of spray in the pan can help prevent sticking.
You can freeze the crust briefly to speed up setting.
Best served chilled.
