Description

This Oven Baked Salmon comes out juicy, flaky, and full of garlic butter flavor. It uses simple ingredients and a quick oven method, so it works perfectly for an easy and reliable dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

1 whole salmon fillet (skin-on preferred)

4 tablespoons butter, melted (or olive oil)

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil. Slightly fold up the edges to catch juices.

2. Place the salmon fillet on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down.

3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic.

4. Brush part of the garlic butter mixture over the salmon.

5. In another bowl, combine brown sugar, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

6. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the salmon.

7. Pour the remaining garlic butter mixture over the top.

8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the salmon flakes easily and looks moist.

9. Optionally baste with pan juices halfway through cooking for extra moisture.

10. Remove from oven, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid overcooking to keep the salmon moist and glossy.

Skin-on fillets help retain moisture and prevent sticking.

Foil lining makes cleanup easier and keeps juices from escaping.

Butter can be replaced with olive oil for a dairy-free option.

Brown sugar can be reduced or omitted based on taste.

Cooking time may vary depending on thickness of the fillet.
