Description
These Patriotic Oreo Balls are a festive no bake 4th of July treat with a creamy Oreo cream cheese center, smooth white chocolate coating, red and blue drizzle, and patriotic sprinkles.
Ingredients
40 Oreo cookies, regular size
8 oz cream cheese, softened
12 oz white chocolate bars, broken into pieces
3 oz red melting wafers
3 oz blue melting wafers
1 oz patriotic sprinkles
Instructions
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone liner.
2. Crush the Oreo cookies into very fine crumbs using a food processor.
3. Mix the Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese until fully blended into a thick, slightly sticky mixture.
4. Shape the mixture into tablespoon sized balls, about 36 total, and place them on the lined sheet.
5. Chill the balls until firm, about 1 hour in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in the freezer.
6. Prepare a second lined tray and keep half of the balls chilled while working.
7. Melt the white chocolate in short microwave intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
8. Dip each ball into the melted white chocolate, coat evenly, let the excess drip off, and place it on the tray.
9. Repeat with the remaining balls, reheating the chocolate as needed.
10. Melt the red and blue wafers separately, then transfer each color to a small bag.
11. Drizzle the red and blue melts over the coated Oreo balls.
12. Add patriotic sprinkles right away.
13. Refrigerate for about 10 minutes until set.
14. Remove any excess hardened chocolate before serving.

Use whole Oreos, including the filling.

Use high quality white chocolate for better flavor and melting.
