Description

Peach Crisp is a warm, comforting dessert made with juicy fresh peaches and a buttery oat topping. It bakes quickly and delivers a perfect balance of soft fruit and crisp texture, especially when served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

Scale

8 cups peeled and thinly sliced fresh peaches

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons all purpose flour divided

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon divided

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup salted butter at room temperature

1 3/4 cups old fashioned oats

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9×9 baking dish

2. Combine peaches with sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, cornstarch, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt until evenly coated, then spread into the baking dish

3. Mix brown sugar, remaining flour, butter, and remaining cinnamon until a moist crumb forms, then stir in oats to create a coarse topping

4. Distribute the oat mixture evenly over the peaches

5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the topping turns lightly golden and the filling bubbles

6. Let the dessert rest for 10 minutes before serving

Notes

Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated unbaked for up to 24 hours, then brought to room temperature before baking
