Description
Easy Red, White and Blue Dirt Cups made with creamy cheesecake pudding, crushed Oreos, colorful layers, gummy worms, and flag toppers. A fun no-bake 4th of July dessert.
Ingredients
2 boxes (3.4 oz each) instant cheesecake pudding mix
4 cups milk
About 19 Oreo cookies, crushed
1/4 teaspoon red gel food coloring
1/4 teaspoon blue gel food coloring
8 red and blue gummy worms
4 plastic dessert cups
4 flag toppers
Instructions
1. Crush the cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor, or seal them in a bag and crush with a rolling pin.
2. Whisk together the pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened.
3. Divide the pudding into portions, keeping one part plain and coloring the others red and blue with gel food coloring until evenly mixed.
4. Layer the dessert in cups starting with cookie crumbs, then alternate colored pudding and crumbs to create distinct layers, finishing with crumbs on top.
5. Decorate each cup with gummy worms and a flag topper before serving.
Notes
Use gel food coloring for stronger color without thinning the pudding.
Add coloring gradually to reach the desired shade.
Layer carefully to keep colors from blending together.
Chill briefly if needed to help layers set before serving.
Best served immediately or chilled.
Can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 1 to 2 days, though cookies will soften over time.
Whole milk gives a creamier texture, but lower fat milk can be used.
This recipe is customizable with different pudding flavors, toppings, or candies.
