Description
A fruity Refreshing Peach Sangria made with white wine, peach schnapps, fresh peaches, blueberries, and mint. Perfect for summer parties, barbecues, and warm weather entertaining.
Ingredients
1 bottle white wine, Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio
1/2 cup peach schnapps
1 large peach, thinly sliced
1/3 cup fresh blueberries
5 to 7 sprigs fresh mint
1 to 2 tablespoons agave nectar
Optional: sparkling water
Instructions
1. Combine the white wine, peach schnapps, peach slices, blueberries, mint, and agave nectar in a large pitcher.
2. Stir well.
3. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 4 hours, so the flavors can blend.
4. Before serving, optionally add sparkling water for fizz.
5. Serve over ice and garnish with the soaked fruit and fresh mint.
Notes
Frozen or canned peaches can be used instead of fresh peaches. Rinse canned peaches before using.
Frozen blueberries can replace fresh blueberries and may reduce the need for ice.
Fresh basil can be substituted for mint.
Agave nectar is optional and can be adjusted to taste.
Sparkling water is optional and adds carbonation.
For best flavor, allow the sangria to chill for several hours before serving.
Can be prepared up to 2 days ahead. Add ice just before serving to avoid dilution.
For a non alcoholic version, replace peach schnapps with peach soda, peach juice, or peach purée.
Additional fruits such as strawberries, apples, mango, pineapple, raspberries, or blackberries can be added.
Can be blended with ice for a frozen slushy style sangria.
