Description
A fresh Trader Joe’s Bruschetta Sauce copycat made with Roma tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Ready in 5 minutes and perfect for toast, pasta, chicken, salads, ravioli, gnocchi, or dipping.
Ingredients
5 Roma tomatoes, flesh removed and finely diced
3/4 cup fresh basil, finely diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
1. Combine the diced tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
2. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
3. Serve immediately as a dip, on toasted bread, over pasta, or with chicken, ravioli, salads, gnocchi, mozzarella, or burrata.
Notes
For a texture closer to the refrigerated Trader Joe’s version, blend or pulse the mixture briefly while keeping some tomato chunks intact.
Fresh basil and fresh garlic give the best flavor.
Avocado oil can replace olive oil.
White balsamic vinegar can replace traditional balsamic vinegar.
The sauce tastes naturally chunky and fresh.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Use within 2 to 3 days since this homemade version contains no preservatives.
This recipe replicates the refrigerated Trader Joe’s bruschetta sauce, not the shelf stable jarred version.
