Description
Creamy white chocolate covered strawberries with a smooth, glossy finish the perfect Valentine’s Day treat made with real white chocolate and a hint of coconut oil for shine.
Ingredients
1 pint firm, fully dry strawberries
1.5 tbsp coconut oil (refined for neutral flavor)
14 oz white chocolate (preferably baking chips)
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
1. Wash strawberries and dry thoroughly to prevent chocolate from seizing. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Insert two toothpicks at an angle into each strawberry for clean dipping.
2. Melt white chocolate and 1 tbsp coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl at 50% power for 1 minute, stir, then continue heating in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until smooth.
3. Dip strawberries using toothpicks, twist to coat evenly, let excess chocolate drip off, and place on parchment paper. Let set at room temperature for 15–20 minutes until firm.
4. Reheat remaining chocolate with 0.5 tbsp coconut oil and a pinch of sea salt. Transfer to a plastic bag, snip the corner, and drizzle over strawberries in a decorative pattern. Let sit 10–15 minutes until fully set.
Notes
Strawberries must be completely dry before dipping to avoid chocolate seizing.
Do not refrigerate to harden chocolate quickly, as condensation can dull the finish.
Use short microwave intervals and stir often to avoid overheating chocolate.
A pinch of sea salt enhances flavor without noticeable saltiness.
